Debarking & Sawing

Debarking and Sawing to Rough Length are the First Steps in the Log Breakdown Process

Logs are are fed into a highspeed debarker to remove all of the bark. The log then moves to a merchandising deck where it is sawn into 8′ and 10′ lengths. Logs are then conveyed to the sawmill headrigs for the primary log breakdown phase of production.
