Pacific Coast maple, known as the "light-hearted maple," is valued for the minimal difference between its heartwood and sapwood.

Its light, uniform color and fine grain make it highly favored for furniture, cabinet and millwork applications. The ideal wood for light or natural finishes, it also accepts a variety of stains smoothly and evenly, from natural to cordovan.
