The white sapwood lends itself especially well to beautiful blonde furniture and interior woodwork.
Birch is also in demand for toys, flooring and kitchen cabinets. American yellow birch is a generally straight-grained wood with a fine uniform texture, white sapwood and light reddish brown heartwood. It takes stain and polish extremely well.
