GENERAL SCOPE:

Northwest Hardwoods is a world-class, integrated, global supplier of wood products to the furniture, cabinet, molding and millwork industries has an excellent opportunity for Business Analyst on the Corporate FP&A team. The team is responsible for monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and ad hoc analysis that drives business decisions within all functions including Sales and Operations.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain reports for monthly senior management reviews.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
  • Generate ad hoc analysis to support business decisions and proposals.
  • Support assigned segments of the business and become a trusted business partner to functional leaders.
  • Use analytical perspective and business acumen to provide insight and generate recommendations on improving business performance.
  • Support the annual planning process.
  • Perform special projects and assist with other department functions as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience, manufacturing preferred
  • Advanced degrees and certifications are beneficial

 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to extract and synthesize appropriate data, analyze it quickly and translate it into informative and actionable reporting.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; detail oriented with big picture vision; ability to effectively engage with senior business leaders.

We are seeking an individual who has the qualifications, interest, and desire to join our Timber Department to conduct Log Sales, at our Marienville, PA division.

 

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • In conjunction with the Resource Manager, coordinate and implement all aspects of the log sale program.
  • Oversee Log Sale Yard staff and direct daily operations of the Log Sale Yard.
  • Evaluate, prepare and sort incoming tree length logs for marketing or for the sawmill.
  • Schedule, prepare and conduct veneer sales with existing customers.
  • Prepare export saw log loads and coordinate saw log sales with multiple existing customers.
  • Schedule Phyto inspections with the USDA inspector.
  • Oversee loading of containers and provide necessary documentation to customers.

 

The Requirements:

Principle Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of external and internal financial statements
  • Prepare and analyze monthly accounting transactions, including journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Provide accounting support to operations.
  • Provide support to external auditors.
  • Respond to questions regarding financial results and analysis of trends.
  • Various ad-hoc projects and analysis as necessary.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis to business leadership.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting.

  • Perform maintenance on grinders, side grinders, tipper, and milling equipment

Requirements:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Northwest Hardwoods, Inc is looking for a Journeyman Industrial Electrician in Garibaldi, OR. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

The successful candidate will also have a good eye for detail and can handle stressful situations in a positive manner.

The plant maintenance electricians primary responsibility is to ensure that all electrical apparatus remains at a fully functional capacity. Must troubleshoot, maintain, p.m. and make all repairs necessary for the safe, efficient operations of the mill during the assigned shift, including but not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment including PLCs
  • Generate programming logic (PLC 5, SLC 500 & RS Logix)
  • Installation of equipment
  • Installation of conduit
  • Equipment includes a merchandising line, double-cut band mills, trimmers, edgers, pallet line, dry kilns, and an abrasive sander.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Experience with NEC code, 24 volt ac/dc through 2300 volt ac three phase, frequency drives & PLC logic. Sawmill experience is a plus.
