Key Functions: Fabrication – Capable of fabricating from drawings and sketches, rebuilding of existing parts. The candidate will be able to perform normal repairs, replacements and enhancements of all manufacturing operational equipment, site facilities and mobile equipment.  Possess strong analytical skills, ability to diagnose potential problems to prevent downtime situations.  Will need to document procedures, downtime, resolutions, and complete associated reports.  Maintain preventative maintenance schedules.  Perform daily boiler operations and maintenance.  Have the basic skills and mechanical abilities, read electrical diagrams, be able to use hand and power tools, welding/cutting, work on mobile equipment’s, hydraulics and pneumatics.  Have a basic understanding of the machine manuals.

The tax manager oversees all tax matters for Northwest Hardwoods including tax planning, indirect taxes, compliance, property taxes, and transfer pricing studies for the domestic and foreign entities.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinate worldwide tax planning, forecast and restructuring
    • Identify potential tax issues and coordinate with outside consultants the resolutions of the issues
    • Research and implementation relating to new legislation and new business initiatives, process improvement and internal controls
    • Final review and sign-off of tax returns (federal, state, local, property for domestic and foreign entities)
    • Coordinate with accounting, payroll and business units to complete timely and accurate compliance reporting and filings.
    • Coordinate and respond to tax audit requests
    • Coordinate with advisors the preparation of transfer pricing studies. Prepare reports and analyze quarterly intercompany transactions (transfer pricing)
    • Manage relationship with outside tax advisors
    • Prepare worldwide quarterly and year-end tax provision and footnotes
    • Participate in the review of acquisitions targets
    • Document, monitor and initiate intercompany loans/dividend payments

JOB DESCRIPTION

Ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience in an industrial manufacturing facility. Residential, commercial, military experience and Technical school completion will be considered.  Working safely is paramount.  Candidate must be capable of both working as part of a team and working independently.  This position will provide the right person with an opportunity to gain knowledge, expand skills and work with a great team of dedicated maintenance personnel.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Capable and proficient with reading/understanding blueprints, diagrams or schematics – able to interpret and apply National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Experience maintaining/troubleshooting/replacing/installing industrial controls and electrical distribution systems
